Love them or hate them can't ignore them, Modern day Trends

“Better mad with the rest of the world than wise alone”, this quote by Baltasar Gracian sometimes completely asserts our world. One sees something utterly absurd some day, the next day he wakes up and finds out the same disgusting thing is the new frenzy, and then the next day he is himself caught up in the the same eccentric trend. Sometimes things can’t be ignored at all, you hate them or you like them but there’s no way to overpass them.
Gangnam Style

Even though you can’t understand a word but still this song is so catchy that it became an international sensation. Making you do some weird gangnam moves in your shower, PSY went on to dance this quirky and freaky style with people like David Cameron, the British Prime Minister, Barack Obama the U.S. President, and Ban Ki-Moon the United Nations Secretary-General , who hailed it as a "force for world peace". Released on June 15th 2012, this video became the first to get a billion views on Youtube and even got a Guinness world record.

Justin Bieber next to lady gaga
with 30 million followers on twitter
He may not be admired by all, he might have the same number of haters and fans but there’s something about him that makes him really POPULAR. Justin Bieber, a Canadian teenager who boasts his 30 million followers on twitter only next to Lady Gaga, Forbes ranking making him the third most powerful celebrity in the world and the most active fan base on facebook. If you don’t know Justin Bieber you’re probably outlandish. Bieber is most commonly targeted by internet trolls, commenting on his sexuality, his girly hair style and voice, and his undeserved popularity. But then there is this huge insane fan base “Beliebers” which is so berserk that when Bieber tweeted a picture tagging Kim Kardarshian and jokingly calling her girlfriend, Kardarshian received some death threats. So you find this JB fever all around very easily which includes admiring him or mocking him.

Lady Gaga's Meat Dress
Whether it’s her meat costume, her entrance in an egg, her laced face outfit, her red hood or her bubble wrap, call it innovative or call it bizarre but this is how Lady Gaga is. Many of her intriguing outfits have become the new trend at various places. Many designers have copied her style of lace coverings, cutout costumes and her aversion to pants. She has even been spotted for starting this new trend of the daffy spine boots. This five time grammy winning blonde doesn’t have peculiarity in her costumes only but her hairstyles have also been an important accessory to her. The tri-color bun on her visit to India, the bow shaped hair, the oddly colored hair or the classic poker face look, Gaga has always been a fierce trendsetter.

The wacky fashion
After Lady Gaga one can’t deny its Katy Perry’s wacky fashion that somehow becomes trendy. Her bright colored costumes, colorful wigs, retro styling and fruit shaped accessories really make her worth noticing. However annoying her fashion or singing is, Katy Perry also has a huge fan base and also a very strong career. She has received various awards for her renowned numbers firework, teenage dream, California girls etc. She has been among the most controversial trendsetters of all the times. Whatever be the reason she continues to be a fad.

It’s perplexing that all these artists keep doing such strange stuff so confidently that now we’re just left to witness the quirky styles and sometimes become a part of these hysterical trends.
